Job Description
Lagos Nocturne is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Cocktail Servers to join our fast-paced and vibrant team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering an unforgettable experience to our guests, ensuring timely and accurate service of a wide array of cocktails and beverages in a bustling environment. We are looking for individuals who thrive under pressure, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and are passionate about hospitality. This position requires a commitment to excellence, a strong work ethic, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude during peak hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present cocktail menus with expert knowledge.
- Take drink orders accurately and efficiently, often in a loud and crowded environment.
- Communicate orders clearly and effectively with bartenders.
- Deliver beverages promptly to guests, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash/card transactions.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas and ensure glassware is readily available.
- Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a server or in a similar fast-paced hospitality role.
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
- A positive attitude and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems specific to bars or restaurants.
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, and wine.
- Prior experience in a high-energy bar or nightclub setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
