Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Bakery Counter Assistant to join our morning shift team at Sweet Treats Bakery & Cafe. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who love baked goods, enjoy interacting with customers, and are eager to learn the ropes of a busy bakery environment. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for ensuring our display counters are beautifully stocked, assisting customers with their selections, processing sales, and maintaining a clean and inviting store ambiance. Full training will be provided, so no prior bakery experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting bread, pastries, and other bakery items.
- Accurately process customer orders and handle transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Stock and arrange bakery display cases neatly and attractively, ensuring products are fresh and abundant.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery counter, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Monitor product freshness and communicate inventory needs to the baking team.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
