Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive psychological services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to diverse patient populations within an inpatient or outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviewing and psychometric testing.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy for a wide range of mental health conditions.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering psychological insights and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Consult with physicians, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the psychology department.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
Required Skills
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy).
- Strong diagnostic and psychological assessment skills, including experience with various assessment tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to cultural competency and providing care to diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship and post-doctoral fellowship.
- Experience working in an academic medical center or large healthcare system.
- Specialized training or experience with specific populations (e.g., children/adolescents, geriatrics, trauma, substance abuse).
- Board certification in Clinical Psychology.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese).
