Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to learn highway inspection techniques and safety procedures.
- Assist experienced inspectors in conducting routine visual inspections of highways, bridges, and associated infrastructure.
- Learn to identify and report various types of road damage, defects, and safety hazards.
- Become familiar with construction plans, specifications, and maintenance standards.
- Document inspection findings accurately, including photos and detailed notes, using provided equipment.
- Operate state vehicles safely and efficiently to travel to various inspection sites.

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inspection progress and issues.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Idaho Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
