Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bar Attendant to join our dynamic team at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja. This is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, offering the convenience of on-site accommodation. As a Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests, ensuring a pleasant and efficient bar experience. You will handle drink preparation, customer interaction, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Process payments and manage cash drawer accurately.
- Monitor and replenish bar inventory, reporting any shortages.
- Adhere to all local and company liquor laws and regulations.
- Ensure guests have a positive and memorable experience at the bar.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a bar or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of common cocktail recipes and spirits.
- Certification in food handling or responsible alcohol service.
- Fluency in additional languages.
