Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Bakery Counter Assistant to join our morning shift team, specializing in bread and pastries. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who loves working with people, has a passion for fresh baked goods, and is eager to learn. You will be the face of our bakery, ensuring every customer has a pleasant and efficient experience from the moment they walk in. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections, providing product information as needed.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
- Receive and stock fresh bread and pastries, ensuring displays are attractive and well-maintained.
- Prepare and package customer orders efficiently and carefully.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter, display cases, and customer areas throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening procedures, including setting up displays and preparing coffee/tea stations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
