Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Printing Press Finishing Hand to join our production team. This role is crucial in the final stages of our printing process, primarily focusing on the accurate folding and secure bagging of printed materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all finished products meet our stringent quality standards and are prepared efficiently for dispatch. This is an on-site role that requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate folding machines to accurately fold printed sheets according to job specifications.
- Perform manual folding and creasing of various paper stocks when required.
- Bag finished products neatly and securely, ensuring proper count and labeling.
- Conduct quality checks on folded and bagged items, identifying and reporting any defects.
- Load and unload materials from finishing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with other general production tasks as needed.
- Follow production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Skills
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and measurement.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6 months) in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with printing processes or finishing equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
