Job Description
We are seeking a charismatic and welcoming Lounge Hostess to be the radiant first impression for our valued guests at The Sapphire Lounge. This unique part-time role offers unparalleled flexibility, requiring you to work just three days a week, and provides fantastic earning potential as you get to keep 100% of your earned tips. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, creating an inviting and positive first impression.
- Efficiently manage reservations and walk-in seating arrangements, ensuring optimal lounge flow and guest satisfaction.
- Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and gracefully introduce them to their dedicated server.
- Maintain an impeccably organized and tidy front desk, entrance area, and waiting lounge.
- Handle guest inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about the lounge's offerings, events, and facilities.
- Manage waitlists during peak hours, accurately communicating estimated wait times to guests.
- Collaborate seamlessly with the service and bar teams to ensure a smooth and exceptional guest journey from entry to departure.
- Assist in upholding the lounge's high standards of service, cleanliness, and sophisticated atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear and pleasant speaking voice.
- A naturally friendly, professional, and genuinely hospitable demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and efficient in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service, hospitality, or front-of-house role is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with reservation management software or systems.
- Basic knowledge of local attractions, events, and the Surulere area.
- Proficiency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) is an advantage.
