Job Description

Join the Marcus Performing Arts Center as a Ticketing & Box Office Management Intern! This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual looking to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of performing arts administration. Under the guidance of our experienced Box Office team, you will learn the fundamental operations of a professional ticketing system, assist with daily box office functions, and contribute to ensuring a seamless patron experience. No prior experience is required; we are looking for a eager learner who is passionate about the arts and customer service. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily box office operations, including ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds.
  • Learn and utilize our professional ticketing software (e.g., Ticketmaster Archtics, Tessitura).
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patrons in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Process group sales and special ticket requests.
  • Help prepare for performances, including printing tickets, compiling will-call lists, and setting up box office stations.
  • Support the Box Office Manager with administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Assist with seating chart management and inventory tracking.
  • Participate in pre-show and post-show activities as needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient box office environment.
