Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead one of our distinguished properties in Milwaukee. This executive-level position offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional looking for relocation and potential sponsorship support. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of the hotel, ensuring an unparalleled guest experience and a positive work environment for all team members. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in hotel management, a passion for service, and the ability to drive success in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, sales, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve financial objectives, increase market share, and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring cost control and revenue optimization.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and respond promptly to guest feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all brand standards, company policies, and local regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
- Implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
- Oversee property maintenance and capital expenditure projects to ensure the hotel's physical assets are well-maintained and appealing.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service hotel.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and standard office software.
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry trends and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a hotel within a major brand portfolio.
- Multilingual abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in managing significant renovation projects or new hotel openings.
