Join the vibrant team at Shoprite Ikorodu as a Dessert & Ice Cream Counter Server! We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to provide delightful service at our dessert and ice cream counter. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start their career in retail food service, offering full training and a supportive work environment. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of delicious desserts and ice cream treats, ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders for desserts and ice cream.
- Prepare and serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and other dessert items according to standard recipes and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including all serving equipment and display cases.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system.
- Monitor and replenish stock of ingredients and supplies, informing supervisors of low stock levels.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a polite and efficient manner.
- Assist with other counter duties as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
