Job Description
Are you looking for a hands-on career that makes a real difference to your community? Thames Water is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Sewer Workers (Trainee). This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills and knowledge needed to safely and effectively maintain our vital wastewater network. You will be part of a critical team responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of wastewater, preventing blockages, and carrying out essential repairs to keep our systems running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all training programs, learning about sewer systems, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Assist experienced sewer workers with routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of sewer lines.
- Support in identifying and clearing blockages, using specialized equipment under supervision.
- Learn to operate and maintain various tools and machinery used in sewer maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to a clean and safe work environment.
- Report any issues or hazards encountered during work to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support wastewater network operations.
