Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team, providing essential support to General Practitioners within our healthcare network. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, contributing significantly to patient care efficiency and clinician productivity. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with GPs, transcribing medical information during examinations, managing electronic health records, and assisting with various administrative tasks. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong aptitude for accuracy and a commitment to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document patient medical history, physical exams, physician orders, and other information into the electronic health record (EHR) in real-time.
  • Assist General Practitioners by navigating the EHR system, looking up previous medical records, and preparing charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Transcribe details of patient visits, including symptoms, diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up instructions.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy policies.
  • Alert the physician to any outstanding labs, imaging, or referrals during patient encounters.
  • Facilitate efficient workflow by ensuring all necessary documentation is completed before the end of each shift.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and accurate record-keeping.
