Job Description

World Vision International is seeking a motivated and analytical Social Impact Measurement & Evaluation Intern to join our team in Bellevue, WA. This entry-level internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within the non-profit sector. You will support our program teams in understanding and communicating the effectiveness of our initiatives, contributing directly to our mission of creating lasting change for vulnerable children and communities globally. This role is ideal for individuals looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting and develop foundational skills in impact measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and refinement of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools and frameworks.
- Support data collection efforts, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
- Conduct preliminary data analysis using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Contribute to the preparation of M&E reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Participate in team meetings and learning sessions related to social impact measurement.
- Help maintain M&E databases and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Research best practices in social impact measurement and evaluation.
- Provide administrative support to the M&E team as needed.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A genuine interest in humanitarian work and social impact.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with basic statistical concepts or data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata) is a plus.
- Previous volunteer experience with an NGO or social enterprise.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods.
