Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Horologist / Master Watchmaker to join our esteemed service center in White Plains, NY. This is a unique opportunity for an expert craftsman dedicated to the intricate art of horology, with visa sponsorship available for qualified international candidates. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and restoration of a diverse range of high-end mechanical and quartz timepieces, adhering to the exacting standards of luxury watch manufacturers. You will work with precision tools and delicate components, bringing timepieces back to their original glory and ensuring their enduring accuracy and functionality. A deep understanding of complex movements, an unwavering commitment to quality, and a keen eye for detail are paramount for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and evaluations of watch movements and cases.
- Execute intricate repairs, overhauls, and restorations of mechanical and quartz watches from various luxury brands.
- Disassemble, clean, lubricate, adjust, and reassemble watch movements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Regulate movements for optimal accuracy and perform quality control checks.
- Replace worn or damaged components, including gears, springs, crystals, and gaskets.
- Conduct water resistance testing and ensure proper sealing of cases.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure workspace.
- Document all services performed, parts used, and conditions observed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Continuously update knowledge of new watch technologies and repair techniques.
Required Skills
- Expertise in the repair and servicing of mechanical and quartz watches.
- Proficiency with precision horological tools and equipment.
- Exceptional fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of watch movements, complications, and construction.
