Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Chattanooga, TN. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our critical IT infrastructure and services. As an IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, managing a team of talented IT professionals, and implementing best practices to maintain high availability and performance of our systems. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of IT operations specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Oversee the daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and applications.
- Implement and enforce IT operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage incident response, problem management, and change management processes.
- Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and report on operational health and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations.
- Contribute to strategic planning for IT infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud platforms).
- Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Experience managing incident, problem, and change management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- ITIL certification (Foundation, Practitioner, or higher).
- Experience with large-scale enterprise IT environments, preferably in the healthcare or financial sector.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Project management experience.
