Job Description
Are you looking to start a rewarding career in a fast-paced and growing industry? Jumia Logistics is actively seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our warehouse team as an Entry-Level Warehouse Picker & Packer. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals with no prior experience, as we provide comprehensive training from day one. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of products, from picking and packing items to preparing them for dispatch, contributing directly to our mission of timely customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations according to order sheets.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate containers, ensuring they are secure for transit.
- Perform quality checks on products to ensure accuracy and prevent damage or discrepancies.
- Utilize basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand basic written instructions in English.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25kg, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- No prior warehouse experience is necessary – full training will be provided!
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment (e.g., retail, hospitality, or manufacturing).
- Familiarity with basic inventory management concepts.
