Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Waitresses to join our team at Serenity Shores Beach Resort in Ajah. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences. As a Beach Resort Waitress, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests enjoy their dining experience with us, whether it’s by the pool, on the beach, or in our exquisite restaurants. We offer on-site staff accommodation, providing a comfortable and convenient living arrangement close to your workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus in an engaging manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Assist guests with menu selections and answer questions regarding dishes and beverages.
- Prepare tables for meals, including setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests depart.
- Process guest payments and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest concerns or requests with a friendly and helpful attitude.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a waitressing or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling bills and payments.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant setting.
- Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Yoruba).
- A diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or a related field.
