Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and diligent Food Processing Line Hand to join our dynamic team in Oshodi, Lagos. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to start a career in the food manufacturing industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food processing lines within a clean and hygienic environment. Full training will be provided to all successful candidates, making this an ideal role for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, regardless of prior experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor food processing equipment as directed by supervisors.
- Perform various tasks on the production line, including sorting, packaging, and labeling products.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, GMP).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the line supervisor immediately.
- Assist with routine cleaning and sanitization of production equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production setting (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with food safety principles (e.g., HACCP, GMP) is an advantage.
- SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination) or equivalent qualification.
