Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Roofing Specialist to join our growing team in Mesa, AZ. This is an exceptional opportunity for skilled individuals looking to make a significant impact, as we are open to providing Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for qualified candidates. The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work on diverse projects ranging from residential homes to commercial buildings, applying your expertise to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain different types of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, tiles, flat roofs, and metal roofs.
- Inspect roofs to determine the best course of action for repairs or replacements.
- Prepare roof surfaces for new installations, including removing old roofing materials.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific roof dimensions and features.
- Apply waterproofing membranes and sealants to prevent leaks.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate progress to project managers.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in roofing installation and repair.
- Proficiency with various roofing materials and techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with specific roofing software or estimation tools.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
- Prior experience in the Arizona climate and with local building codes.
