Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Restaurant Waiters to join our vibrant team in Silver Spring, MD. As a Waiter, you will be the face of Olive Garden, delivering a delightful dining experience to our guests through attentive service, accurate order taking, and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring guests receive prompt and courteous service, from greeting them to presenting their check. The compensation includes a competitive hourly base rate plus service charge (tips) reflecting your excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, informing them of daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Anticipate guests' needs and respond to requests in a timely and helpful manner.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper setup of dining tables and sections.
- Process guest payments accurately and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen and other wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating to management when necessary.
