Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Compensation & Benefits / Rewards Manager to join our Human Resources team in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is a unique opportunity to shape our reward strategies, ensuring they attract, retain, and motivate top talent across our diverse organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs that align with our business objectives and foster a positive employee experience. You will be responsible for leading initiatives related to salary structures, incentive plans, benefits administration, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement competitive compensation strategies, including base salary structures, variable pay, and long-term incentive plans.
  • Manage and administer all employee benefits programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with employee needs.
  • Conduct market research and participate in salary surveys to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness of our compensation packages.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits data, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial compensation and benefits regulations and policies.
  • Lead the annual compensation review process, including merit increases and bonus payouts.
  • Develop and deliver communication materials to educate employees on their total rewards package.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and leadership to advise on compensation-related decisions and provide guidance on rewards philosophy.
  • Oversee benefits enrolment, claims resolution, and vendor management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in compensation and benefits.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Compensation and Benefits management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven experience with salary surveys, market pricing, and compensation modeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, or global organization.
  • Experience with international compensation and benefits practices.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
