Job Description
We are seeking a charismatic and energetic Cocktail Server to join our fast-paced, high-volume bar on Victoria Island. As a Cocktail Server, you will be the face of our establishment, responsible for providing impeccable service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that defines our brand. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present cocktail menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems efficiently.
- Serve drinks and light food items promptly and professionally.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, adhering to all sanitation standards.
- Collaborate effectively with bartenders, kitchen staff, and other team members.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, processing payments and making change.
- Promote specials and upsell premium items where appropriate.
- Adhere to all local and company liquor laws and safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and high-energy atmosphere for both guests and colleagues.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a server, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bar (1 year minimum).
- Strong knowledge of basic cocktails, spirits, and wine.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in food safety and alcohol service (e.g., ServeSafe, RSA equivalent).
- Experience in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Fluency in additional languages.
