Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Campground / RV Park Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of our flagship properties in Fredericton, New Brunswick. This pivotal role requires a hands-on leader passionate about hospitality, outdoor recreation, and community building. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction, managing staff, maintaining facilities, and optimizing park profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of campground/RV park operations, including guest registration, reservations, and check-out procedures.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate seasonal and year-round staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee grounds and facility maintenance, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of all amenities.
- Implement and enforce park rules and regulations, addressing guest concerns and resolving disputes professionally.
- Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, cash handling, expense control, and revenue generation.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain guests, including social media and local partnerships.
- Coordinate and promote recreational activities and events for guests.
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Prepare regular reports on park performance, occupancy rates, and financial status.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, local authorities, and the surrounding community.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hospitality management, property management, or a similar leadership role, preferably in a campground or resort setting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in staff supervision and development.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reservation software and general office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, landscaping, and utility systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak season.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with campground-specific management software.
- Knowledge of local tourism attractions and services in the Fredericton area.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
