Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Engineer with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot to join our innovative team in San Diego. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend services that power our next-generation wireless products and platforms. You will work within an agile environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver robust and reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement new features and functionalities.
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and operations.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of applications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend development
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
