Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard for a Gated Community in Gateshead. This is a comfortable, sit-down role primarily focused on access control and monitoring. You will be the friendly first point of contact for residents and visitors, ensuring the safety and security of the community. This position offers a friendly working environment and is ideal for someone looking for a stable, responsible role within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor access points and control entry/exit for residents and approved visitors.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems to identify any suspicious activity.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, assisting with inquiries and directions.
- Conduct regular patrols (vehicle or foot, as required, though primarily desk-based) to ensure perimeter security.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all community security policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in various situations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and monitoring systems.
- Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security or customer service role.
- First Aid qualification.
- Familiarity with CCTV operation and access control systems.
