Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Actuary to join our dynamic team in Coventry. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing expert actuarial advice and solutions to our clients across various sectors. This position involves complex data analysis, financial modeling, risk assessment, and the development of innovative strategies to support business objectives. You will be instrumental in helping clients understand and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex actuarial valuations and financial modeling.
- Assess and quantify financial risks, including insurance, pension, and investment risks.
- Develop and implement actuarial models using statistical analysis and predictive analytics.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, communicating complex actuarial concepts clearly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant actuarial standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated solutions.
- Provide expert advice on pricing, reserving, product development, and capital management.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development.
Required Skills
- Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills.
- Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, R, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) or equivalent international qualification.
- Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience with IFRS 17 or Solvency II regulations.
- Project management experience.
