Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Audit Manager to join our growing team in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an exceptional opportunity for professionals with ‘Big 4’ or ‘Top 10’ public accounting experience looking to advance their careers with a leading global firm. The Audit Manager will lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, develop and mentor staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services in accordance with professional standards and firm policies. You will be instrumental in advising clients across various industries, identifying risks, and contributing to strategic business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Lead engagement teams, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Review and approve audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with professional standards (US GAAP, IFRS).
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to clients and engagement partners.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, new accounting pronouncements, and regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and internal training programs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in public accounting, with a significant portion in a 'Big 4' or 'Top 10' firm.
  • Proven experience managing complex audit engagements for diverse clients.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB standards, and/or IFRS.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA license (or actively pursuing a CPA license).
  • Experience auditing clients in industries such as technology, government contracting, manufacturing, or financial services.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience with data analytics tools in auditing.
