Job Description

Join Quest Diagnostics, a leader in diagnostic information services, as an experienced Phlebotomist. This critical role involves performing phlebotomy on patients of all ages, ensuring patient comfort, and accurately collecting and processing samples for laboratory testing. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a proven track record in venipuncture and a commitment to patient care and safety. This position offers visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures accurately and efficiently on patients of all ages.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling procedures are followed rigorously.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Process and prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from an accredited phlebotomy program.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques for all age groups.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related health science field.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • ASCP Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification.
