Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist specializing in Pediatrics to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for pediatric patients with a variety of developmental, neurological, and physical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices to address fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care activities, and play skills.
- Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Educate and collaborate with families/caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home programs to maximize patient progress.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and participation in professional development activities.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible for Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of pediatric assessment tools and intervention techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sensory integration therapy techniques and certifications (e.g., SI Certification).
- Familiarity with various therapeutic approaches such as NDT, DIR/Floortime, or PROMPT.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin) are a plus.
