Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team at Rochdale Pet Health Centre. Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough examinations and diagnostics for small animal patients.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans, including surgical procedures.
- Performing routine and emergency surgeries with precision and care.
- Interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
- Providing compassionate client communication, explaining diagnoses and treatment options clearly.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Participating in an on-call rota, ensuring continuous patient care.
- Collaborating effectively with veterinary nurses and support staff.
Required Skills
- Veterinary degree (MRCVS or eligible for registration with RCVS).
- Proven experience in small animal practice (minimum 1 year post-qualification preferred, but strong new graduates with relevant placements considered).
- Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high standards of patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced surgical skills or specific areas of interest (e.g., orthopaedics, dentistry).
- Postgraduate qualifications or certificates.
- Experience with specific practice management software.
