Job Description
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a strategic and experienced Compensation & Benefits / Rewards Manager to join our Human Resources team in Hollywood, FL. This critical role is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of our organization’s compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of total rewards principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of managing complex C&B initiatives within a large organization. This position includes sponsorship for qualified international candidates, demonstrating our commitment to attracting global talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and administer competitive compensation structures, including base pay, incentive plans, and salary grades, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Manage and optimize all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Conduct market pricing and salary surveys to ensure compensation programs are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, FLSA, etc.
- Analyze compensation and benefits data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop and deliver clear communication strategies for compensation and benefits programs to educate employees and managers.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and organizational leaders to address compensation and benefits related issues and provide expert guidance.
- Lead the annual merit review, bonus cycles, and open enrollment processes.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants for benefits administration and compensation surveys.
- Stay informed of new trends and developments in compensation and benefits, proposing innovative solutions to enhance our total rewards offerings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits management within a large organization.
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing techniques.
- In-depth understanding of employee benefits programs, including health & welfare, retirement, and leave management.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex C&B concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with U.S. federal and state labor laws pertinent to compensation and benefits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification.
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with international compensation and benefits practices, particularly related to visa sponsorship processes.
