Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Bar & Grill Waiters to join our thriving team in Magodo Phase 2. As a Waiter, you will be the face of our establishment, ensuring every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers the exciting opportunity to earn daily cash tips in addition to your base salary, and you’ll also enjoy a complimentary staff meal during your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about food and beverages
- Take accurate food and drink orders using our POS system
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set before and after guest use
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
- Process payments efficiently and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and active listening
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and service
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a waiter or waitress in a restaurant or bar setting
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including alcoholic drinks
- Food handler's permit or certification
