Job Description
Join Kaiser Permanente’s innovative virtual health team as a Work From Home Dietitian / Nutritionist. In this 100% remote role, you will provide personalized nutrition counseling and education to members via virtual platforms, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized meal plans.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition education and counseling to members remotely.
- Utilize virtual communication tools (video, phone, secure messaging) to deliver care.
- Monitor and evaluate member progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records.
- Stay current with the latest nutritional science and dietary guidelines.
Required Skills
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- State licensure or certification as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nutrition experience.
- Proficiency in virtual communication platforms and electronic health records.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote setting.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and health equity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Experience with health coaching or behavior change methodologies.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
- Experience working in a managed care or integrated healthcare system.
