Orkin, a leader in pest control for over a century, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Pest Control Exclusion Technicians in Gastonia, NC. As an Exclusion Technician, you’ll play a critical role in preventing pests from entering structures by identifying and sealing potential entry points. This involves a variety of tasks, from minor repairs to installing physical barriers, all while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest entry points (e.g., gaps, cracks, holes, damaged screens).
- Perform exclusion services by sealing cracks, repairing minor structural damage, installing mesh, vent covers, and other physical barriers to prevent pest access.
- Utilize a variety of tools and materials including sealants, screens, netting, and light construction materials.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the exclusion process, provide recommendations, and answer questions.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Manage and maintain company-provided equipment and vehicle.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Required Skills

- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in confined spaces (e.g., attics, crawl spaces).

- Valid driver's license with a good driving record (required for company vehicle).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, handyman work, home repair, or a related trade is a plus, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
