Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Telecommunications Tower Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bromley. This role is crucial for the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our mobile network infrastructure, specifically focusing on telecommunications towers and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys and evaluations for new tower installations and upgrades.
- Design and optimize telecommunications tower structures, antenna systems, and associated RF equipment.
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, and integration of network hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault resolution on tower infrastructure.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and field technicians to ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement or expansion.
- Participate in emergency response activities related to network outages or infrastructure damage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in telecommunications engineering, specifically with mobile network infrastructure.
- Solid understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and transmission systems.
- Familiarity with various telecommunications tower types and structural considerations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using network planning and optimization tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eligibility for UK Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) Visa sponsorship.
- A valid driving license suitable for use in the UK (or ability to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., tower climbing safety, RF safety).
- Experience with 4G/5G network deployment and optimization.
- Knowledge of UK telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in CAD software for tower design and layout.
