Job Description
Are you a passionate and aspiring nurse looking for a vital placement opportunity to gain invaluable clinical experience and mentorship? East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting Student Nurse Placement where you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice. This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to various clinical settings, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. This is an entry-level placement specifically crafted for current nursing students, focusing on your growth and professional development. Full training and continuous support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering patient care under direct supervision.
- Monitor and record vital signs, document observations, and report any changes in patient condition.
- Support patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in ward rounds and team meetings, contributing to patient care planning discussions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards of conduct.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities, asking questions and seeking feedback to enhance clinical skills.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a recognized Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent program.
- Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic IT literacy for electronic patient record systems (training provided).
