Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Sauna & Steam Room Cleaner. This crucial after-hours role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within our wet leisure facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our members. This position requires someone comfortable with thorough wet cleaning processes and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning and sanitisation of sauna and steam room facilities, including benches, walls, floors, and drainage systems.
- Utilise appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for wet environments, ensuring all surfaces are free from grime, mildew, and odours.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or required repairs to management.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
- Work efficiently and independently to complete all cleaning tasks within allocated after-hours schedule.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, ideally within a leisure, hospitality, or healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment for wet areas.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene.
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically cleaning saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pool areas.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (due to after-hours work).
