Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Sauna & Steam Room Cleaner. This crucial after-hours role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness within our wet leisure facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our members. This position requires someone comfortable with thorough wet cleaning processes and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform deep cleaning and sanitisation of sauna and steam room facilities, including benches, walls, floors, and drainage systems.
  • Utilise appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for wet environments, ensuring all surfaces are free from grime, mildew, and odours.
  • Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
  • Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damage, or required repairs to management.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.
  • Work efficiently and independently to complete all cleaning tasks within allocated after-hours schedule.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning, ideally within a leisure, hospitality, or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment for wet areas.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of hygiene.
  • Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience specifically cleaning saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pool areas.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (due to after-hours work).
