Job Description

Trillium Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiographer/Sonographer to join our dynamic Diagnostic Imaging team. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and sonographic procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Acquire, archive, and retrieve images as required, ensuring data integrity.
  • Evaluate images for quality and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous professional development.

Required Skills

  • Registered and in good standing with a relevant professional body (e.g., CMRTO for Radiography, Sonography Canada for Sonography).
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in both general radiography and sonography.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Skilled Worker Visa.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
  • Advanced certifications in specific imaging modalities (e.g., Vascular Sonography, Breast Ultrasound).
  • Experience in a large acute care hospital setting.
  • Bilingualism (English/French or other common languages spoken in the community).
