Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Design Engineer to join our team in Batumi, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of piping systems for various energy and infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong understanding of piping codes, standards, and engineering principles, as well as proficiency in relevant design software. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of projects from conceptual design through to detailed engineering and construction support. Experience with CoS (Certificate of Sponsorship) is provided for eligible international candidates, demonstrating our commitment to attracting global talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop piping layouts, routing, and detailed designs using 2D and 3D CAD software.
- Perform stress analysis for piping systems using industry-standard software.
- Prepare material take-offs, specifications, and data sheets for piping components.
- Ensure compliance with international codes, standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.1, API), and client requirements.
- Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve piping-related issues during project execution.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in piping design engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., AVEVA PDMS/E3D, Intergraph PDS/SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D).
- Strong knowledge of piping codes, standards, and material specifications.
- Experience with piping stress analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data integration.
- Knowledge of Georgian or Russian languages.
- Previous experience working on international projects.
