Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Bar Assistant to join our energetic team for night owl shifts, specifically on Fridays and Saturdays. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to learn the ropes of the hospitality industry. You will play a crucial role in supporting our bartenders, ensuring the bar area remains clean and stocked, and contributing to a positive guest experience. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those with a great attitude and a willingness to work hard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders with drink preparation and order fulfillment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping surfaces, washing glassware, and sweeping.
- Restock bar supplies such as spirits, mixers, ice, and garnishes.
- Ensure all necessary equipment is clean and operational before and after shifts.
- Help manage inventory by reporting low stock levels to the bar manager.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, answering basic questions and directing them as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25kg, and move quickly.
- A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
- Availability to work Friday and Saturday nights, and potentially other evenings as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, even outside of hospitality.
- Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages and common bar practices (training provided for specifics).
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
