Job Description
FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a motivated and reliable individual for an entry-level Hydroelectric Plant Maintenance Assistant position in Cleveland, OH. This is a secure, full-time role offering comprehensive training and significant opportunities for career growth within the energy sector. No prior experience in hydroelectric operations is required; we are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety. You will learn the fundamentals of maintaining hydroelectric power generation equipment and facilities, contributing directly to reliable energy delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians and engineers with routine maintenance tasks on hydroelectric power plant equipment.
- Perform basic inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of machinery under supervision.
- Learn to identify potential issues with equipment and report them promptly.
- Support the setup and breakdown of tools and equipment for maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
