Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a rigorous, fully paid training academy to learn all aspects of freight train operations.
- Adhere strictly to all railway operating rules, safety protocols, and company procedures.
- Learn to safely and efficiently operate freight trains under the guidance of experienced instructors and mentors.
- Assist with coupling, uncoupling, and shunting wagons as required.
- Conduct pre-departure checks and ensure the operational readiness of rolling stock.
- Communicate effectively with control centres, fellow crew members, and other railway personnel.
- Develop a strong understanding of route knowledge, signals, and railway infrastructure.
- Respond calmly and effectively to operational challenges and emergency situations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
