Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Consultant – Allied Health to join our growing team in Campbellfield, VIC. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the recovery and return-to-function for individuals who have sustained injuries or illnesses. You will manage a diverse caseload, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing tailored rehabilitation plans, and coordinating a range of services to support our clients through their recovery journey. This position offers a dynamic environment where you can apply your expertise across various allied health disciplines, working collaboratively with clients, employers, insurers, and medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing biopsychosocial assessments to determine client needs and rehabilitation goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualised rehabilitation plans, including setting measurable goals and timelines.
- Coordinate and liaise with a multidisciplinary team, including medical specialists, allied health professionals, employers, and insurers.
- Provide expert advice and support to clients on injury management, vocational rehabilitation, and return-to-work strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and case notes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Facilitate communication and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Manage a caseload efficiently, prioritising tasks and meeting service delivery expectations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Allied Health discipline (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Social Work).
- Current AHPRA registration (or relevant professional body registration for non-AHPRA professions).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in rehabilitation, injury management, or a related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in workers' compensation, TAC, or NDIS schemes.
- Post-graduate qualifications in rehabilitation, vocational counselling, or a related area.
- Experience working with complex and challenging client presentations.
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to the local community.
