Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Fish Processors at our state-of-the-art facility in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the food processing industry, as full training will be provided. As a Fish Processor, you will be responsible for the efficient and hygienic handling, preparation, and packaging of various fish and seafood products, ensuring they meet our rigorous quality and safety standards. This role operates in a chilled environment and requires a good level of physical fitness and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately preparing and processing a variety of fish, including filleting, skinning, and trimming.
  • Operating and monitoring processing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all products meet Young's Seafood's strict quality and hygiene standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment in line with food safety regulations.
  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Packaging and preparing finished products for distribution.

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a food production, manufacturing, or processing environment is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices (a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with various fish species and seafood products.
