Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Event Ticketing / Box Office Clerk to join our vibrant team in Nuneaton. This is a crucial sit-down role involving shift work, including evenings and weekends, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys providing excellent service. You will be the first point of contact for many of our patrons, responsible for processing ticket sales, handling inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient ticketing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process ticket sales accurately for various events, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions with precision.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions about events, seating, and venue policies.
  • Manage and resolve customer inquiries, ticketing issues, and exchanges efficiently.
  • Distribute 'will call' and pre-booked tickets.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised box office workstation.
  • Reconcile daily sales reports and cash floats.
  • Adhere to all company policies and security procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new ticketing software quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Reliability and punctuality, especially for scheduled shifts.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, retail, or box office environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Spektrix, Tessitura).
  • An interest in live events, theatre, or entertainment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
