Job Description

Grant Thornton UK LLP is excited to offer an entry-level position as a Debt Settlement Negotiator (Trainee) in our Crawley office. No prior experience in debt negotiation or financial services is required – we provide full, structured training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. You will learn to work directly with clients and creditors to negotiate and establish viable debt settlement plans, ensuring fair outcomes for all parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to learn debt negotiation strategies, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial situations and discuss debt settlement options.
  • Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients to achieve favourable debt settlements.
  • Prepare and process necessary documentation for debt settlement agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions and negotiation progress.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the settlement process.
  • Adhere strictly to all regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and targets.
