Job Description

Grant Thornton UK LLP is excited to offer an entry-level position as a Debt Settlement Negotiator (Trainee) in our Crawley office. No prior experience in debt negotiation or financial services is required – we provide full, structured training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. This role is perfect for ambitious individuals with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others. You will learn to work directly with clients and creditors to negotiate and establish viable debt settlement plans, ensuring fair outcomes for all parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to learn debt negotiation strategies, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial situations and discuss debt settlement options.
- Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients to achieve favourable debt settlements.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for debt settlement agreements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all client interactions and negotiation progress.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the settlement process.
- Adhere strictly to all regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and targets.
