Job Description
We are seeking an innovative and passionate Curriculum Developer to join our dynamic team in Portsmouth. In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and refining high-quality educational content across various subjects and learning platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of instructional design principles, excellent content creation skills, and a commitment to creating engaging and effective learning experiences for diverse audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging and effective curriculum materials, learning objectives, and assessment strategies for a variety of educational programs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to create comprehensive and cohesive learning content.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current educational standards and best practices.
- Integrate innovative pedagogical approaches and educational technologies into curriculum development.
- Review, edit, and revise existing curriculum to ensure clarity, consistency, and pedagogical soundness.
- Participate in pilot testing and gather feedback to iteratively improve curriculum materials.
- Ensure all curriculum materials meet accessibility standards and are inclusive for all learners.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in curriculum design and development, or instructional design.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using content authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging learning materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
- Experience with digital learning technologies and interactive multimedia development.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) in educational content.
- Experience working in a large-scale educational publishing or EdTech company.
