SERVPRO of Casper is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Crime Scene / Trauma Cleanup Technician (Trainee). This critical role involves responding to sensitive and often challenging situations, providing compassionate and thorough cleanup services for crime scenes, unattended deaths, and other traumatic events. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you are fully equipped with the skills and certifications needed to excel in this specialized field. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and discreetly to emergency cleanup calls, often on short notice.
- Safely and effectively clean, disinfect, and decontaminate scenes involving biohazards (blood, bodily fluids, pathogens).
- Adhere strictly to OSHA, EPA, and company safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Demolish and remove affected structural elements as necessary for thorough remediation.
- Document work thoroughly, including taking accurate photos and preparing detailed reports.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste and contaminated materials in strict accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Provide compassionate and professional interaction with clients, maintaining confidentiality and respect during difficult times.
- Maintain and clean company vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training and certifications as required to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required; full, comprehensive paid training will be provided.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and perform demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and safety procedures.
- High level of empathy, discretion, and professionalism when interacting with clients and handling sensitive situations.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations for emergency response.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging, physically demanding, and emotionally sensitive environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, manual labor, military, emergency services).
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using various tools and equipment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or a strong willingness to learn rapidly.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (certification will be provided as part of training if not already held).
