Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Car Detailer to join our team at Bridge Auto Group’s Palmerston dealership. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking for stable, ongoing work in the automotive industry. As a Car Detailer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all new and pre-owned vehicles are presented in pristine condition, meeting our rigorous standards for cleanliness and appearance. Your work will directly contribute to our customer satisfaction and the overall success of our sales department.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough interior and exterior detailing on new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Wash, vacuum, buff, wax, and polish vehicle surfaces to a high standard.
- Clean and condition upholstery, carpets, and interior trim.
- Apply protective treatments to vehicle paint and interior surfaces.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and identify any areas requiring additional attention.
- Manage and maintain detailing equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and dealership guidelines.
- Report any damage or issues found during detailing to the appropriate department.
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines and vehicle readiness schedules.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in car detailing or a related field (minimum 6 months).
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for perfection.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Basic understanding of detailing chemicals and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an automotive dealership environment.
- Knowledge of advanced detailing techniques (e.g., paint correction, ceramic coatings).
- Certification in automotive detailing or relevant vocational training.
